Self governance
We believe the further power moves from the individual, the more dangerous it becomes.
A distant authority cannot understand the needs, values, or priorities of a free people spread across a vast country. Yet it continues to accumulate control, issuing rules that shape daily life without accountability to the individuals most affected by them.
Self-governance begins with the individual. You are responsible for your choices, your work, your community. From there, authority should rise only as far as necessary, and no further. Local communities can solve problems without waiting for permission. States can govern without constant federal intrusion. Decisions should be made by those who live with the consequences.
Centralization breeds dependency and removes accountability. Decentralization restores both. It allows different approaches, encourages innovation, and respects the reality that free people will not all choose the same path.
We do not need a single answer imposed on everyone. We need the freedom to find our own.
A government closest to the people is the easiest to watch, the easiest to challenge, and the easiest to replace. That is not a flaw. That is the point.
